Jack Aelyn Adelwolf Jack started to walk to the café around eight in the evening. It was just starting to get dark outside, and it was strating to drizzle a bit. Of course, the warmest days of summer in this town always had to have rain. Jack didn't mind the overcast part, just the rain part of the deal. It had been a long day and he didn't feel like staying at home all evening. He had called a few people to join them, but they were all busy, so here he was, showing up at a soon to be crowded café all alone. Maybe he would run into someone he knew.
When he entered the café, he was greeted with the wonderful smells of tea, coffee, and assorted pasteries. He looked around and spotted a booth in the corner near the front window. He made his way over to it and sat down. The rain then began to pick up. A small frown became visible on his features. At least he was inside. Jack sighed and turned his head to look around the café. A few business men and women were at tables and booths typing away on their computers, or talking on their Blackberries. A couple of the regular town citizens and farmers sat more in the middle of the room. Students and couples took up some of the booths. It was rather busy tonight. Of course, a group of students from Austria were playing with their moderate jazz band at nine. The band had been performing here for three years now, ever since the students came as ninth years. They were actually a very good band, and it didn't even matter that they still had trouble with English, since jazz was just improvised notes, no words. Two of the boys in the band, Liam and Kiefer, were going to be on the school's dressage team this year. They actually were very good at the event, which most people wouldn't even think thatthey had anything to do with horses and riding.
Beside Liam and Kiefer, Jack only recognised two of the other students, Kelly and Andrea, two girls from California who took lessons from him. Jack then saw Laura Pace taking orders from an older couple. Jack adverted his gaze from her. Laura was one of his ex-girlfriends who he was pretty sure that she would want to try and get back with him. Sure she was beautiful, smart, and nice, but she always would cheat on him and never supported his love of horses, so he ditched her. She had been mad at first, but now everytime he was near her, she would flirt with him and try to get him back. Jack hoped that she had kitchen duty soon. That was if she had the same schedule as before. He then realised if she got put on kitchen duty, Holly Welles would come out. She was another waitress who fancied him. why did he have to come here tonight, when both Holly and Laura were on duty?
Jack groaned and put his head in his hands, only to be tapped on the shoulder by a waitress. Luckily it was one he didn't know. He ordered a cup of tea and club sandwich. When the waitress left, he got up and took a newspaper from the rack by the door and took it back to his seat. He also decided to take off his leather jacket and put it next to him. He only had it on becuase it was windy, and slightly cold, when he had been walking to the café. He kicked off his trainers and put his feet up on the seat opposite of him. No one ever said that this was a formal place. Plus he had the corner booth, so no one could really see him, inless they were outside, or seated close by. He unfolded the paper and started to read the front page as he listened to the claming sounds of the rain and the soft jazz music that was coming out of the speakers on the ceiling. The band would be playing shortly as well, probably whenever the brought him his sandwich. Molly's Café had always been known for making you wait a bit for your food. They gave you your tea right away, but no, the food just couldn't get done quickly enough.

Dorothee was driving down the road as it started to rain. " Aww muck. Of course the rain comes when I least want it....I don't like driving in it!" Upon that, She decidedto go to pickles Place, but when she drove by they were closed. {b]"muck again. I guess I'll haveto settle for the Cafe." She said with a deep sigh. Turning on her turn signal she pulled into the parking lot of the cafe. She sat there for a minutei n her truck hoping it would clear up. With A sigh she shut off the truck and stepped out into the now pouring rain. She hurried inside and looked for a good place to sit. She walked right past jack and didn't even knowtice him til she turned around to sit at one of te tables. "jack!" She said witha smile andthen walked over to him. "mind if i join you?"

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf Jack stared out the window as the rain began to pour down. Great. Why did it just insist on raining in the evenings in Howe? Just about every other day during the summer it would rain in the late afternoon or evening to early the next morning. It would then remain beautiful until the next late afternoon. He felt sorry for anybody who was attending the art show in the park. He was planning on going before it closed at ten, but now he could forget those plans.
Jack turned his attention back to the newspaper he was reading. Well he wasn't really reading it anymore, just kind of staring at it, thinking about other things. He then remembered that there were probably advertisements for upcoming horse shows in the area. He flipped to the back page, only to find nothing. Well maybe since a few stables closed and few new ones opened, the owners hadn't had time to schedule events. He would've scheduled a show, but with the students bringing their horses, he had a lot of things to get set up and fixed so they would look good and be safe for the incoming horses and ponies.
Jack tensed when he heard a feminine voice call his name. At first he feared it would be either Laura or Holly, but he then noticed that whoever said it had a French accent. That was a relief. He looked up to see Dorothee coming toward him. Jack smiled at her and said “Don't say my name too loud.” He thought that one of the two waitresses might hear and come to see if it was 'their' Jack. Looked like Dorothee wasn't doing much this evening either. She then asked if she could join him. He looked at her for a second and then said “Sure.” He then moved his feet off the seat opposite of him so that Dorothee would have a place to sit down. “So, what brings you here on this fine night?”Jack asked, obviously being sarcastic. Jack glanced quickly to the front left corner of the café as the band began to play. They could actually make it professional when they all go tout of school, but who knew how long that would be.[/blockquote] ooc// yeah, I did XD I was on a roll

She laughed. " so would you like me to whisper?" She asked as she sat down across from him. She ordered a glass of ice tea and turned her attention back to him. " Well I was driving around. I planned on going to Pickles Place, but looks like they don't want customers right now" She joked, " and so I decided to come here...and well annoy you. By the way, you still havn't gotten me back. If you waittoo long you'll forget" She said with a smile.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf "Yes, that would be a good idea." he answered to her question about whispering. He paused for a moment before adding "Actually just say 'Jack' quietly. You can talk as loud as you want about anything else though. Just don't say my name loudly." He could care less if she talked at a high volume, as long as it wasn't his name, in this place a the current moment. "See, if you say my name loud, you may experience a very interesting little fight." he said with a smirk. Wouldn't that be just dandy. It would be quite funny, but not good. It probably wouldn't be a problem with Dorothee anyway. She didn't strike him as the person to be loud.
Jack watched the band for a moment as Dorothee ordered herself some of the café's delicious iced tea. And that was saying something for Jack, since he wasn't very fond of his tea being iced. He then returned his attention to the blonde in front of him as she started to talk again. "I guess they knew you were coming." he commented, after she told him that Pickle's was closed. "I don't blame them either." he said with a smirk as he took a sip of his tea. He was glad that Dorothee could take teasing. Some people got bent out of shape when you messed with them like that. Those kind of people just plain annoyed Jack.
"Came here, just for me?" he mocked. "Aww, now I'm flattered you know." he said with a wink. Jack looked past Dorothee for a few seconds as he watched the rain fall. Even though he didn't like to be out in it, he sure did like the sound of it. Especially when it contrasted the mellow jazz music in the background. It was like black and white, opposite, but in harmony. His chocolate brown eyes then made their way back to Dorothee. A small smile played on his lips as he said "Oh, I haven't forgotten about it." He left it at that, leaving her wondering. Truth was, he didn't know how he was going to get her back, but he was sure that he'd come up with some diabolical plot. "Y'think it's gonna rain all night?" he asked her, looking out the window again.

" oooh I fight? cool. with who?" Dorothee asked in a joking tone. When her tea arrived she grabbed the sugar and turned it into sweet tea. She rolled her eyes at him when he commented about Pickle's Place. " Oh yeah because the place just despises the customer that brings them the most money right?well, Imma have to go have a chat with the manager." She siad with a laugh.
" oh totally. you know I came here just because you were here, even though I didn't know you were here until I walked in.... I hope itrains all night. I actually like it" Dorothee said as she looked out the window to the pouring rain. About that time The lightning flashed and the thunder rumbled.she smiled "oh wow its so close! oh my gosh I forgot you walk. If its not over by time you're ready to go i can give you a ride..after all I don't think it would be too much trouble..I mean its not like you live 100 miles away from me" Dorothee said with a laugh as she took a sip of her tea.

Jack Aelyn AdelwolfJack quickly look around the building as Dorothee asked him who with. "Well," he began. "See the burnette over there with the black pants?" he asked, nodding his head in that general direction. "Her and the girl in the kitched with the kitchen with the red hair in a pony tail." he told her. "The one is one of my ex-girlfriends, and the other seems to fancy the pants off me for some reason, so you can see why I want to avoid it." he explained, so she could see why he didn't want them to know that he was ven here. It would be a better world that way, everyone would be happy. Well atleast Jack would be happy, but that probably counted as everyone anyway. "Yeah, you'd better do that if you ever wanna see the inside of that place again." he teased right back. "Oh and if they give you any trouble, they'll have me to deal with" he added with a wink.
"All night? Really?" he asked. "I don't mind it, as long as it's warm outside." He knew that it was probably very warm out, since it was the middle of summer, during the hottest days. It hadn't been 'cold' since the middle of spring. Jack looked out the window as it began to thunder and lightening. "You don't have to give me a ride, i can walk. Unless you really want to." he said. "Plus I was actually thinking of going to the art show in the park. I know its probably still going since it's warm out and everything is under tents. They also have a live band playing." he told her, finishing up his cup of tea. "You can join me if you want, I don't mind." he added casually.

" well it wouldn't hurt to mess with them.... Im sure I could think of a way to keep them from bugging you again...unless you wantto be bugged by them the next time your in here alone." Dorothee said with a mischevious smile. She laughed. " oh yeah andwhat would you do?" she asked.
He went on talking about the rain andshe shook her head. " oh yeah you'll be fine walking in it and then it will decideto turn into hail then you'll be cursing youself for not takingthe ride" Dorothee said with a laugh. " really it wouldn't be that much of a hassle to take you home" She said. when hetalked about the art festival and then asked if she would like to join him." you know that? I think I'll take you up on that offer and go with you" She said taking another drink of her tea.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf Jack almost laughed. If he got them over here to mess with them, that would be a rather .... interesting thing to witness, especially if both of them were there. He wouldn't do that though, no it would just be too much of a hassle. "If you found a way to get rid of them, I would be in your debt for the rest of my life." he told her, after she said that she could probably find a way to keep them from bothering him. "Wouldn't you like to know." he said in a mysterious tone when she asked what he would do if they gave her a hard time.
"Or it could stop raining and turn into a nice night and then you will be the one stuck in a car, not able to enjoy the night." he retorted. Most likely, with his luck, it would start to hail and he would have to run for it. Jack seemed to have the worst luck of any person he knew. If there was something to trip over, he would. That's just the way it was with him. Of course, he also had had very good luck, so who knew. "Well, when ever you get done with your tea, I'll pay and we can go check it out. How's that sound?"

Dorothee Smiled mischeviously." well, If you don't have an objection to it, we could tell them we are getting married" Dorothee said then covered her mouth as she laughed trying to keep it down. She finally calmed down and looked ot him " well? what do you say?"
"well at least I could get out and walk if it did turn nice..unlike you..you can't go into a vehicle if it starts hailing and the weather turns really nasty" Dorothee teased. She nodded and finished the rest of her tea. "thatsounds great." She said with a kind smile.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf Jack chuckled as Dorothee proposed her idea. "Now, that would probably work, but to see their faces..." he trailed off, laughing again. He could just see it in his mind, and it wasn't pretty, but it was sure as hell funny. He'd probably pay to go see it. He was sure that there would be yelling. Especially from Holly. "Now you'd just have to get their attention some how." he told her once she quit laughing. And he had the perfect name. "Just say 'Jack' loud enough for a few people to hear." he told her as he leaned back in his chair.
She did have him there, about if the rain clouds decided to lift away. "I guess you're right." he admitted, a note of defeat in his voice.

She smiled."oh I'm gonna havea ball with this" She snickered. Then she burst into a loud obnoxious laugh before exclaiming. "Oh Jack you are so darn hilarious!" She lowered her laugh after she knowtices people looking. "did that get their attention?" sheasked in a low whisper, as she had forgotten which ones he told her aobut.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf Jack casually looked around after Dorothee made her little performance. "I dunno if it got their attention, but it sure got some of the other guests to give us strange looks." he said with a laugh. It seemed that he spoke to soon. Just as he looked away he heard someone say 'Jack?' in a delighted tone. Without even looking, he knew it was the ginger girl who seemed to be obsessed with him. Jack looked to Dorothee and whispered "And that would be Holly."
The red head stopped at the end of their table and looked htem both over, giving Dorothee a distasteful glance. "So." she said, looking between the two. "How have you been Jack?" she asked him, obviously ignoring the blande girl with him. "Fine and dandy." he replied, rollinghis eyes. "Oh. That's nice." she said, looking to Dorothee this time. "And woh are you?" she asked Dorothee with distaste in her voice as well as on her facial features.

Dorothee watched as Holly walked over. She just held a smile on her face, andtriedto keep from laughing as she saw the disspleased look on her face. " Oh, Holly. I've heard so much about you. I'm Dorothee, Jack's soon to be wife." She said keeping her tone sweet and real sounding.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf Jack smirked a bit to see the odd look on Holly's face when Dorothee said her name. Holly was probably a bit paranoid now, since the complete stranger to her knew her name. Jack didn't know that Dorothee had any acting skills, which appearantly she did, since she pulled off the sweet, yet realistic voice. Kudos to that.
Holly's eyes narrowed as the blonde girl started talking. Wait a second, how did she know her name? That question was then answered as the French girl finished talking in that sickenly sweet voice of hers. So what was it now, did Jack have a 'thing' for French girls? Or blondes? Or blondes that were French? "Wha..Wha.. What?!" she half stammered out. "She's your fiance?!" she said, getting louder, her facial expressions becoming more angry. "Since when, when do you get engaged Jack? You told me that you, and I quote, 'Don't do serious' What happened to that?" Her green eyes glared at Dorothee. "And how did you find her? I mean there are so many other people out there and what, what about us?!" she alsmot yelled.
Jack's eyes widened a bit as Holly seemed to explode, causing more people to look over at them. He was sure that Laura would be over here soon too. "There never was an 'us'" Jack said slowly, trying to hide his smirk. "Besides, shouldn't you be happy for us?" he asked her with a smile. "No!" she shrieked in response. She then turned to Dorothee and said "How could you?" She moved closer to the table and asked Dorothee "When did he even ask you to marry him? Wait, when did you meet? Cause as far as I know, he's been single for a while now!". Holly's face began to turn a nice shade of pink, making the few freckles that she had stabd out.
