Dorothee was trying so hard not to laugh. She looked to jack with a smile. " oh he didn't tell you about me? Why I feel hurt. We met on the internet a few months ago. Maybe that is why he wasn't serious about you." She said making sure to really slather on the french accent. Lucky for her she always wore a ring so while her hands were under the table she switched it to her ring finger. It was Justa gold band. " He asked me just last week. see here is the ring", she said holding up her hand " I refused to let him get me anything expensive, since I know he needs his money for the stables." She said.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf ► Holly turned her hostile glare to Jack when Dorothee started talking again. "No, he failed to mention that one little detail to me." How could he have done this to her. They could have had a future together. All she had to do was get him to realise that he needed her and not that, that French whore. Yes, she'd make him see. Holly's eyes darted down to the gold band on Dorothee's hand. That could have been her. What did she have to do to get him? Dye her hair blonde and talk with a posh French accent?
► Jack held his hands up in a defensive manner when Holly sent daggers at him with her eyes. "I just didn't think you needed to know." he answered simply with a shrug. Okay, so he had taken Holly out a couple times, but that was a good two years ago. She had a fancy for him ever since, hopefully this would break it. He smiled when Dorothee mentioned the ring. He was pretending to be happy about the engagement, but really his was smiling because of how Holly was freaking out to all the news. "I tried to tell her different you see, but she wouldn't have it and insisted that I should use the money on the horses." he said in a sickenly loving voice, glacing at Dorothee, with what he hoped looked like love, but it probably looked like plain amusement of the whole situation. Jack leaned forward a bit and took Dorothee's hand in his own. He then looked to Holly and said "Oh, I'm sorry, I should invite you to the wedding! Would you like to come?"
► Just then a burnette came sauntering up to the tbale to see what the commotion was about. "What's going on over here Holly?" she asked. When she got there, she saw Holly was at the table with Jack Adelwolf and some other girl. "Ah, so it's Jackie Boy is it?" she asked with a grin looking at Holly. Why was the red head getting so mad anyway, it wasn't anyone worth making a fuss over anyway. Laura turned to face the pair sitting down, ignoring the fuming Holly at her side. "So Jack, what have you been up to?" she asked in a cool tone. Her and Jack were in a sense, enemies. "I see you got yourself a, oh, a fiance is it? Never thought I'd see the day. What happened to 'I don't settle down', hmm?" She then turned to Dorothee and said "So who is the lucky lady?" with obvious sarcasm dripping off every word.

Dorothee smiled looking to jack when he took her hands. When Laura came over and asked who the lucky lady was she gasped and jumped up. "oh how rude ofme not to introduce myself. I'm Dorothee....and you?"[/] She asked holding out her hand in an offer to shake her hand..if she allowed it. She looked to holly with a smile then back to Jack. When he mentioned if he should invite them to the wedding she was wondering if they would have to have a fake wedding too. SHe laughed at the thought.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf ► Didn't think she needed to know?! Who did he think she was? That was kind of a big thing to happen and not mention to someone who talks to you all the time. Holly adverted her eyes when he held Dorothee's hand. Git. She had so many other names to call him, but she wouldn't. For all she knew it wouldn't work out between the two of them. Actually, she was counting on it. Her eyes got wide when he asked her to the wedding. The hell she didn't. "Thanks for inviting me, but I'm going on vacation." she said bitterly. Oh wait, that didn't work out to well, he hadn't even told her when they were having it.
► "But, Holly dear, you don't even know when the wedding is! How do you know that you will be gone, hmm?" Laura shot a cold smile at Jack and turned to Dorothee. "Laura." she said, shaking her hand. She wasn't going to give that woman her last name or anything else. she glanced down to Dorothee's ring. Just a plain gold band. "I see Jack didn't waste money on any expensive ring." she said with a tight smile. Jack probably did that so he could have money for those damn horses. Who even cared about them anyway? She was surprised to see that Dorothee would let him get her something like that. "I'm sure you could've gotten him to get you something better, you know." she told Dorothee, obviously hinting that Jack was cheap.
► Jack just about laughed at Holly's reply. She was so eager not to go, she was just going to be on vacation then, when ever he said it was. Then Laura started talking with that stupid sardonic, posh tone of hers. Jack glared at her. She was a real piece of work, that girl. Why had he even had anything to do with her in the first place? How stupid of him. Jack fished around his pocket for money and put it on the table. He felt it was best to high tail it out of there. He knew he probably put more out then it all cost, but they could have the extra as a tip.
Jack stood up and moved over to Dorothee's side. "Uh, Dorothee, babe, I think we should get going now. We don't want to be late for that party remember?" he told her. Hopefully she wouldn't ask what party, and ruin his get away. Jack smiled innocently at Holly and Laura as he put his arm possessively around Dorothee's waist. "Well it was nice talkin' to you girls, but we have to go."

Dorothee smiled at Laura. " Well, I could've made him get me something more, but I love horses too, so Of couse I knew he needed the money for his horses...ohand not to mention for the wedding itself...and the honey moon." She siad sweetly. " oh yes the party. well shoot. I was hoping to be able to talk more..I was havinga great time. Maybe we can catch up again some other time. Havea great night. Holly...Laura." She said. When Jack put his arm around her waist she had to try extra hard not to burst out into laughter. She put her arm around him mimicking the move and then started towards the door.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf Jack hurried them out as fast as he could without making it look like they were trying to get away. Once they were outside, Jack sighed a sigh of relief. "Well Dorothee," he said. "That is what I run into every time I come here. Fun isn't it?" He was glad that she played along until the very end, and made it look convincing. Well, he hoped it had looked convincing.
As soon as they walked out from under the awning, Jack got hit with a drizzle of rain. Hey, at least it wasn't pouring, thundering, and lightening any more. It was also fairly warm outside, and abit breezy. I felt more like spring than summer, but he couldn't complain. "Well, I see the rain has decided to let up just bit." he commented, looking up to the sky. He kept walking until they were out of sight from anyone in the cafe. "Y'still want t'go to the art show with me?" he asked, looking over to her. He figured if it was drizzling, he might as well go, plus he was a fast runner and could get home if it started to pour. Jack looked at her, waiting for her answer, when he realised that he still had hold of her waist. He drew his arm back and flashed a smile at her.

"well maybe they will stop bugging you now"[/b[ Dorothee said with a laugh. "that is a bonus! I'd be glad to still go with you." She smiled back at him as he took his ram off her, and she did the same. Walking to her truck she unlocked it and got in waiting for him.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf "Yeah, hopefully." he said with a sigh. He knew Holly would probably never come near him again, but Laura was another story. She would probably antagonize him even more now. Talking to him in her idiotic, sardonic voice while subtly making fun of him. That's just how she was though.
Jack followed Dorothee to her truck and opened the passenger door. He stood there with it open, not getting in, but looking down the road. "Hey Dorothee." he said. "Wann walk? It's only a black or black and a half away."

Dorothee looked to the clock. It wasn't going to get dark for a while longer, so she decided walking was ok. "yeah sure. haha the excersise will probably be good for me" Dorothee said with a laugh. She jumped back out, taking her jacket off and leaving it in the truck before shutting the doors again and walking over to the other side to him.

Jack never understood what was with women and their need for exercise. Yes, exercise was a good thing, but women just seem to obsess over. Same thing went with watching how many calories they ingested. Jack always htought it was stupid, but hey, what did he know? Dorothee didn't need the exercise anyway.
He gave her samll smile as she went to put her jacket back. It wasn't going to get dark for a few hours. That was one thing he loved about summer; the long days and short nights. Summers here were also nice and hot, unlike where he previously had lived; Maryland. The summers were hot there, but not as hot as it got in Howe. The nights were rather nippy though, being in the desert and all.
Yes, Howe was much, much nicer than where he had previously lived. Plus, he didn't have his brother here with him like he had back in his past, which he never talked about for good reasons. He wouldn't be surprised if his brother showed up here one day. Hopefully that wouldn't happen. He knew what his brother was, and what he had done, no does. Yes, he still does it.
Jack closed his eyes for a second or two, wanting to forget about the memories that had just resurfaced. He would just enjoy tonight, and not think about family and friends and who could be trusted. Trust was another issue. After what happened, Jack found it hard to really trust a person, and he afraid if he did, they would turn out to be some one else. He wouldn't let that happen. Again.
He then glanced to Dorothee, who was coming around the truck over to him. What about her? He foudn it sad that he was even questioning that. She was a nice woman, a few years younger than himself, who had come here to get away from her home. He understood. But for all he knew she could be aligned with his brother. He stared at her for a moment and figured it wasn't so. She was, well she just didn't fit it.
"Ready?" he asked her. Maybe he was right and he would finally have some one to trust.

Dorothee smiled and replied "yes." before starting to walk with him. "so jack, do you have any brother's or sisters?" she asked. She had never had any....as her parents didn't want another. she didn't like it. she always dreamed of having a sister. maybe that was why she turned to riding. so she could meet friends, that could be just as good as a sister....or brother. She looked to jack with a smile while waiting a reply.
ooc/ i lost what I originally was going to put lol...so it kinda sucks.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf He should have known that some one around this place was going to ask about his family sooner or later. Beside his brother, Jack had two sisters. One of them he did not trust either. His youngest sister was the only person he really trusted, but they never got to see eachother much. She lived in Ontario, Canada for the time being. He figured it would be safe there for her and away from his older brother and sister, who live in Maryland and Washington DC, in the States.
"I have one br.....a sister." he said, hoping that she would not really pay much attention to his mistake. He was onyl going to mention is younger sister. "I have one younger sister." he finally corrected himself. "Actually, she's about eleven years younger." he said with a smirk. even though he had just turned thirty, it made him feel old having a sister that much younger. Thirty wasn't that old though. Right?
Jack turned his head to face her again. Well actually he had to kind of look down. That was another thing, he felt so tall, even though he knew many people taller than himself. If he had to guess, he would say that Dorothee was five foot, and four or five inches. On the other hand, Jack was six foot four inches. So there was about a nine inch height difference between them.
"What about yourself? You have any siblings?" he asked, figuring she may be more open than he was. He never got how people could be so trusting so quickly. Especially with women, they would talk for an hour and be best friends. How could people be so stupid?

" No I have no Sibblings. My parents must've thought it funner to only have one and spoil that one....so they didn't have to have a favorite of the other children if they would've had more." Dorthee said with a laugh. She had caught his mistake, but decided not to dig farther into it. " So, 11 years younger? wow...that is quite the space between you two"[/b[ she said with a laugh as she continued to walk with him.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf
Being s ingle child had to be a bit borning, but then again, it did have it's certain little perks. Liek Dorothee said, she was spoiled as a child since, well , she was the only one to spoil. Jack sometimes wished that he was an only child, especially when he was younger. Having a brother two years older and a year older sister wasn't that fun growing up. They always thought of him as the 'litttle kid' even though he was around their age.
"Must've been nice." he commented thoughtfully. Then again, she may think that strange since he told her his only sibling was his younger sister by eleven years.
"Yeah, eleven years is quite a bit, but I'm glad that I have Tegan as a sister. Even if she did get out of high school a couple years ago." Jack said. He had told Tegan to stay in Canada where it would be safe, but now he wasn't so sure. He had talked to her the other day and they had talked about her starting up her college career in Howe. Since the school had a college, she would fit right in. Plus she wouldn't have to worry about paying for aplace since she could live with her brother, until she wanted her own house or apartment. Jack just figured if he could keep an eye on her, she'd be much more safe.
"She's thinkin' of maybe moving to Howe." he told Dorothee. Her and Dorothee would get along great. He just knew it. Well, his sister got along with just about everybody. "Enough about me though. My life's pretty boring and I'm sure you don't wanna hear about it." he said with a lopsided smile.
"So how'd you get into horses?" he asked, hoping for a change of subject.

Dorthee laughed "Nah it was pretty boring. I hated all the attention!" she said with a laugh. she smiled when he mentioned his sister moving here. " Well, if she does I guess I shall have to meet her."' she said smiling at him. She continues walking with him listening to what he had to say. "nonsense its not boring" Dorothee said with a laugh. She thought for a moment upon his asking the question before starting. " Well, my mom thought to raise me proper. And I was always defiant of that. When she would hold a tea party, I would find a way to sneak loose and play outside. The neighbors had some percherons. I used to slip into the field and play with them. One day mom caught me. She thought that a proper lady should ride horses, but not big dangerous ones like that." Dorothee laughed " So she bought me a pony. A mean one.Well once she discovered he was mean she sold him and instead sent me off to a boarding school for lessons in dressage and jumping...that sort of stuff. That was when I really started going after them. mother didn't approve, but by that time she couldn't stop me. I had worked at the stable to buy Hugo. and when I finally bought him we entered out first competition. and well a few years later the accident happened and well here I am now in Howe" She siad
"and you? how did you get into them?"
