Jack was sure that his sister Tegan and Dorothee would get along just fine. Maybe he would give Tegan a call tomorrow and see if she was coming. It would make him feel a lot better if she came to live with him. That way he would know that she was safe.
Jack snapped out of his thoughts as Dorothee started to tell him about how she got started into the horse world. Jack made a slight grimace as she mentioned that her mother said that horseback riding was a 'women's sport'. Jack had been teased by his borhter, adn older sister, when he had started riding because they thought that it was only a sport for girls.
So Dorothee had been a boarding school student as well. It seemed that a lot of gifted equestrians he ahd met in the past few years had really learned to ride well at their boarding schools. Jack just wanted to see Dorothee get on Hugo again. If any horse and rider were made for eachother, it was those two.
Jack put his hands in his pockets and looked up when she asked him how he got started into horses. "Well," he began. "When I was eight, my father took me with him to a horse show because he told his friend that he would fix his trailer. My dad was good at fixin' things, so his friends always asked him for asmall favours like that. Anyway, as Dad worked on the trailer, I sat and watched the show and hunter jumping events. From that day, I was hooked on it. A couple months later, I began taking lessons from my dad's friend, the one who he went to fix his trailer, and the rest is history. When I was around sixteen years old, I was winning in and out of state events in all types of riding. My last, and biggest win of my showing career was when I was eighteen. I did a three day event that was a junior national type thing. I came in reserve champion in my division and that was good enough for me." he said with a small smile. "After that, I kind of........moved a lot and by that time, obviously, I was lod enough to be on my own, so everywhere I was I rode and bought and sold horses, and now I'm here with this business." Jack told her, just telling her the main equestrian bits.
When Jack finished, they had arrived at the park where the art festival was being held. "Well Dorothee," he said "Welcome to the annual Howe Art Festival." he said, stopping at the enterance to the park, offering his arm to Dorothee. "Shall we?"

Dorothee smiled. "that is cool" she siad as he told her about how he got into horses. She looked around as the art festival came into sight. It seemed to burst with activity despite the rain just a few minutes earlier. She gladly took his ram and repled "We shall"

It was nice, almost normal Jack thought; walking in a park with a friend, not having a care in the world. Right now he felt like he was just anormal person with normal, everyday problems, not some man who hid his past from everyone and barely trusted anybody at all. That was another thing, trust. Ever since certain events in his life, Jack hadn't trusted anyone. Right now Dorothee was the only person her trusted. In fact, she was his only real friend that could be trusted right now.
As the duo walked arm in arm down the side walk, the sound of the soft jazz music perfectly complimented the soft light of the lamp posts set up throughout the park. To Jack it felt like being by the sea somewhere instead of in the middle of a hot, dry land.
They soon made their way into the main activity centre of the festival, where all types of art works were on display and muscians were setting up. With all the people around, it almost looked like a big city. A lot of people. Jack notised that right away. Right now he was keeping on the look out for anything ...... abnormal that they might have to get away from.
Jack looked around as the music livened up a bit, as if he was expecting something to happen. After a second or two he looked at Dorothee and asked "Care to dance?" Jack had always been a wonderful dancer, but of course he never really like to show that when he was younger. Beside being the male horseback rider, he was also a dancer. One could imagine how that would go if people knew. Now he didn't care, because more mature people appreciated skilled dancers, and Jack could do one mean tango among other things.
He wondered if Dorothee could dance or not. Oh well, this would be his time to find out for himself. If she said 'yes' that is.

Dorothee smiled. She enjoyed the relaxed feel of the festival. The bright popping lights, everything. She expecially liked being able to enjoy the placce with someone else, rather than alone. In fact she probably wouldn't have come if she hadn't of met Jack. She looked over to him then continued looking around. She was lost in her own little world when his words hit her ears. "care to dance?" he had said. Dorothee laughed, replying " I don't know how to dance, but sure why not. I'll never know if I don't try"
ooc//sorry its so short. I feel like im staring all over again in the RP buisness I havn't done it in for so long.

Jack's eyes flicked back to the blonde when she said that she had never danced before. Jack raised an eyebrow at this. He would've expected a girl who had come from a higher class French family to know how to dance. But then again, she was probably always with her horses, learning to dance with them; dressage. He could understand that.
"It's never to late to learn." he said with a wink. He took her hand and led her over to the 'dance floor'. The festival's version of a dance floor was a well maintained, large, grassy square where the stage was for in-park performances. Luckily the park staff had cut the grass a couple days before so any dew that formed wouldn't touch anything but the attendents shoes.
Once they found a spot amongst other dancing people, most of them teenagers from the Academy. "Alright, all you have to do it follow my lead." Jack told her as he took her hand and pulled her closer, putting his hand on the small of her back. "Just have you feet follow mine." he instructed her. "Relax and listen to the music." Jack said, glancing down at her. That was probably the best way to teach her. "Ready?" he asked before starting.
OOC// Thats fine =)

Dorotee smiled. Her mom had tried to get her to take dance, but she skipped out on the class everyday. She would come home in her dance clothes dirty from the stable and all she would say is " I tripped" and her mom believed her every time. The day her mom found out was the day she decided to give up trying to make her go to dance lessons.
She hesitated at first, butthen let him lead her out to the 'floor' and she nodded at what he said. " Alright. Hope I don't do anything stupid" She teased. When he asked if she was ready she nodded yes.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf Jack smiled at her as she said she hoped that she didn't do anything stupid at all. "You won't do anything stupid Dorothee." he told her. At least she was allowing him to lead her to the 'dance floor' and was willing to give it a shot. Besides, if she did happen to do somethin stupid, nobody would really see, or care for that matter. All the other people dancing were to occupied to take notice of the rest of the dancers, and the people passing by could care less. They were just trying to get from point A to point B at the festival.
Jack pulled Dorothee a little bit closer to him and said "Now watch my feet and follow along." Jack decided he would just start off very easy with her. He would keep count to the music mentally, that way, if she followed him like he told her to do, she would look like she knew what she was doing. "And if you can, try and keep count with the music. Just a simple one-and-two-and-three-and-four." he told her.

Dorothee laughed as he commented her on doing something stupid. She couldn't help but blush a little as he held her closer. She looked down to his feet like he asked, hoping he didn't knowtice her blushing. As he started counting she slowly started mumbling the numbers to the beat also, and continuing to watch his feet, and following. Once she somewhat had the hang of it, she looked up to see how she would do without relying on watching the steps.
ooc/ hahaha im definatly redneck...before i changed it, I spelled Beat: beet.....like a sugar beet lol.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf Jack smiled as she seemed ot get the hang of dancing. He smiled inwardly to himself. He glanced at Dorothee as she was looking down at her feet. She wouldn't need to look down for long. Jack knew it. She was doing well already for her forst time dancing. He sort of doubted this to be her first time dancing, but hey she could just be one of the quick learner types. Dorothee finally took her eyes off of her feet after a few minutes. Jack smiled at her and said "See? Its not that hard is it?" "Plus you seem to be quite the fast learner." he added with a wink.
They continued to dance as new bands came on the stage to play a couple of selected songs. As the music slowed down (and the number of drunks went up), Jack took a chance to look around the festival. He was looking for anything or anyone that seemed to be... out of place shall we say. After a couple of moments, he turned his attention to the night sky. The clouds from earlier had cleared away, leaving the rich deep blue sky filled with millions of shimmering stars. They really were beautiful. It was amazing how many stars could be seen out here in the country. Coming from a large cities his whole life, Jack had spent many hours outside on clear nights when he first came to Howe.
He then glanced to Dorothee. Maybe she would enjoy all the stars too, but then again, he really didn;'know where she had come from; city or country. He was guessing that she had lived out in the country on a large estate, since her parents weren't exactly low on funding. "Beautiful aren't they?" Jack said to Dorothee, giving a nod upward to the heavens so she knew what he was talking about. He might as well enjoy the peace now, becuase he had a strong feeling that things were going to start happening soon. Most likely after the start of school for the children.

Tegan Rose Adelwolf _________________
Tegan let out a sigh na drummed her thumbs on the steering wheel of her car. Well it wasn't really her car, it was a rental. She had she had flown to the nearest airport to Howe which was a forty-five minute drive away from the actual town of Howe. It didn't really make sense to Tegan because the airport was actually called 'Howe Airport', but it was located in a ranom little town called Pine Peaks. That wasn't very logical and downright confusing. Then again, those are two in the same.
"I bet Jack is going to be surprised to see us." she said, glacing to her Border Collie, Denver, who was sitting in the passenger seat of the car. Tegan had found Denver four years ago in none other than Denver, Colorado when she was there on winter break with some of her old friends. The poor thing had been literally tossed into the trash. Tegan was glad that they had found eachother. Denver was her only constant, loyal, trusting friend who she could tell anything to (even if he couldn't talk back).
As Tegan stopped the car waiting for a train to cross, she pulled out her direction she had printed up at a library a couple hours before she boarded her flight to Howe. She hoped that she could find Jack quickly and turn the rental car into one of the rental business' exchange stations they had in Howe. Jack had given her a copy of the key to his apartment when he moved to Howe. He had always done that; given her a key to where ever he was living. He had told her that if things ever got rough to come and stay with him so she'd be safe. She looked in her purse for the said key to make sure that she had not misplaced it.
___
It didn't take long to find Jack's apartment complex; it was one of the fancier, more expensive ones in town. She began to move all her belongings up and started to toss the luaggage cases in his spare bedroom, which would now be hers. Obviously, Tegan had found out that Jack was not present in his home at the current moment, which was odd since it was well past midnight. Then again, Tegan knew that Jack had always been quite the party person, so she guessed that he was at some fancy get up for the night, or maybe even over at some woman's place.
Tegan spent a good half hour unpacking and making up her bed for the night. She had turned on her computer to mess around until Jack came home, but she had the urge to go out and explaore Howe, even if it was late at night. "Ya know Denver," she began, talking to her tired companion, "I think I'm gonna go and wander around. Ya know, to see what's going on aroudn this place." Tegan got up and made her way into the kitchen. She took out a plastic bowl and filled it with water for Denver. She looked around and then grabbed her phone and stuffed some money into her jeans pocket and headed out the door.
___
Tegan finally found something exciting that was going on; a festival of some sort. From what she could tell, it would be an all night party and probably a whole weekend deal, like a music or film festival or some other thing of that sort. It looked like the kind of place where her older brother would be at. She shrugged and began to walk around, looking for her brother.
As she walked by a stage in the park, her attention was capture by a beautiful violin solo in the song. Playing the violin had always been on of Tegan's passions. She had even earned scholarships for her playing. She smiled and turned around when the other instruments began to join in again. She lightly made her way through the dancing people, trying to avoid getting crashed into. Then she caught sight of a guy who looked like her brother. She squinted realising that it was him. And of course he was with some woman. She rolled her eyes at the thought. She hadn't seen him in a while, but she frequently spoke with him and he hadn't mentioned anyhting about a woman for a good year, which was odd. Jack used to be the type who found a new lady to take back to his place every other day. But then again, things were changing.
Tegan made her way up to Jack and the blonde that he was dancing with. She gave the blonde a smile and tapped Jack on the shoudler since his back was turned to her. "Care to dance?" she asked him with a smile on her face.

Ooc//I'm too lazy to log onto dorothees account lol besides it's challenging enough typing on this itouch but hey at least the space button works better!
Dorothee smiled, glad she had gotten somewhat ahang of the dancing. She continued following Jack's moves, enjoying the brisk night air that still smelled of the fragrent rain that had just been pouring earlier that day. The time went by fast and soon she looked at her clock suprised when she saw it read midnight. " my how time flies! It's midnight and I'm not tired... That is rare." she said chuckling to herself. She looked up at the stars Jack was referring to. There were millions of them and they were brighter than any she ever saw back in France. " wow ya they are beautiful. Never in my life have I seen that many!" she exclaimed. As she continued to stare at the stars, she accidentally stepped on Jack's foot. " OH my Jack! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to…" her voice trailed off as someone came up and asked jack for a dance. " be my guest. I just stepped on him. So I think it's tome I take a break anyways!" dorothee joked.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf Ah, so Dorothee hadn't seen stars like this either. There was just something special about this part of the world where all the stars could be seen. Jack glanced to the clock tower in the park after Dorothee mentioned something about what the time was. Indeed it was well past midnight. Of course Jack didn't doubt that from the drunks around them. This was the time when the festival got a little less than classy.
Jack's attention was brought back to Dorothee as he felt a pressure on his right foot and heard Dorothee apologising to him. He gave her a smile and said "Don't worry 'bout it. I wasn't paying attention anyway." As Dorothee trailed off, he felt a light tap on his shoulder. He rolled his eyes upward and thought What now?! as he turned around.
Well that was a surprise. His expression became a little suprised as he saw who it was. He quickly gave Tegan a smile and a big hug. He then pulled away and asked her "Why are you here? I mean of course I'm thrilled to see you, but I didn't know you were coming. Is everything alright?" He was always glad to see his little sister, but he was concerned since she had just shown up out of the blue.
Jack then realised that Dorothee was probably very confused as to what was going on here. He looked over his shoulder at her and said to Dorothee "Dorothee this is my younger sister Tegan. And Tegan, this is Dorothee." Hopefully the two would get along since he had a feeling that his sister was here to stay.

Tegan was a bit surprised that Jack had seemed happy to see her and even give her hug. She was expecting smething like 'why aren't you at school' or 'you won't be safe here'. So this, this was a nice surprise. Or maybe it was because there were a lot of people around. Nah, Jack would yell at her, or anyone else for that matter, no matter where they were or what the occassion was.
He then asked her why she was here. Oh great, here we go. she tought, thinking he was going to go into some sort of rant. Instead he remained clam. This wasn't normal for him, but then again ever since he had moved to Howe he seemed to be more fun. Probably because he knew that no one was looking for him in this small little town. "Well, I had this.... feeling that smeoone was looking for me, so I transferred to school here." she told him trying to say it fast and in a happy voice. "I kinda brought all the stuff I own and put it in the spare room in your apartment. Oh nice place by the way. Very classy Jack, but I wouldn't expect anythin less from you. But as I was saying if you don't want Denver and I there, I can always try and get a dorm at the academy." she rambled off, hoping he wasn't really catching what she was saying.
Jack jsut gave her an odd look and then changed the subject to introducing her to his dancing partner, who was appearantly called Dorothee. Tegan smiled at her and walked up to shake her hand. "Nice to meet you. As Jack said I'm his little sister." Tegan paused and looked around. "Um, if you guys wanna get back to dancing or whatever, I'll just walk back home....." She looked between the two waiting for someone to say something. If she wasn't wanted, then she would happily go back to her new home.

Jack Aelyn Adelwolf Jack stared at his sister for a moment that she said htat she had a feeling that someone had been watching and following her. He quickly glanced around, attempting to look for anyone that seemed really out of place. Luckily, everybody seemed like they belonged here. Plus at least two thirds of the people were completely drunk and couldn't keep track of their own shoes, let alone a human being. Jack always knew that when Tegan said something like that, it was true. Experience had taught him.
Tegan then told him that she had brought all her things with her and transfered to Howe Academy for school. Plus she kind of made herself at home in his apartment, which he didn't mind all that much. At least she did not do something stupid like stay put where she had been before coming here to Howe.
"Well I'm just glad you're alright. And you are welcome to live with me as long as you like." he told her. "And do let me know if you get anymore feelings." he told her in a whisper. As long as she was here, he'd have someone to talk to at odd hours of the night, but then again it gave him one more person to watch out for.
Jack was glad that Tegan was in such a .... happy mood for this hour of the night. She wasn't to fun to be around when she was tired. She had laways been that way, even as a baby. He was also glad that she seemed to take a liking to Dorothee. But then again he was a little concerned that she was trusting of new people she just met. She should know better then that, but of course she was younger and still had alot to learn. Then again, she should know by now not to trust so quickly.
Tegan then asked if she should leave or stay. Jack gave her a bit of an odd look and then glanced back at Dorothee who was saying that it was fine if the burnette stayed with them. "Of course you can stay Tegan. After all its a bit of a walk back home." he told her. "I would know. I don't have a truck at the moment." he told his sister with a cheeky grin. "She," he said, pointing his thumb behind him to Dorothee, "is my ride, and hopefully yours too?" He questioned the last part, turning aruond with his brows raised at Dorothee.
