Rowena Elizabeth Phyte Rowena sat in the tall grass, watching a small herd of wild Mustangs graze by the blue water. She had come out to photograph the beautiful animals and to sketch them. Rowena had heard from a lady at the library that they liked to graze around the Azul Valley lakes. Rowena figured that since she didn't have anything better to do, and it was a beautiful day, that she would come out for a few hours.
She also had the pleasure of bringin her nineteen year old Andalusian gelding, Dmitri, with her. She had the horse her whole life, and trusted that he would stay by her while she worked. She had taken off his tack and left a halter on him while he grazed a few metres away from her. That horse would never run off. He was as far away as he would ever go from her while they were out alone. Rowena figured that it was because they bonded with eachother when they were both very young.
Rowena looked up to the sky as a large cloud started to pass over the sun. It seemed that it may storm. A small frown appeared on Rowena's features. As long as she got her things back in her saddle bags as soon as it started, it wouldn't matter. Riding in the rain was fun! Especially on a warm day like this one. Rhapsody In Blue

Jasper Elliot Tellingman Don't Like My Style
Jasper Tied his shoes before he left for his run. It wasn't like him to leave his horse behind. But he needed to get back in shape. He had a Triathlon coming and didn't want to lose. For as shy as he is, he is rather competitive. He stood up and stretched one last time. He popped in his ipod, turned it on shuffle and began his run. He breathed deeply letting the crisp oxygen come into his lungs. Before he left he grabbed his camera, gum and water and packed it inot his small backpack. Start light then go heavy. He rushed out of his dorm and started up the path to lakes. There were many paths he could have taken, but it was a hot exhausting day and he wanted to go for a swim. Plus, that would get him in shape. he laughed at himself.
Chirp Chirp Chirp A few miles down the road Jasper was wishing he brought his horse. Out breath he leaned against a tree stretching ad wiping the sweat off his face. His headband did most of the work, but by now it was drenched. His clothes where all wet and muggy so he took of his shirt and didn't even bother to fold it. AT that time Jasper sat on a stump near buy and fanned himself with his fan. This was a good test. It showed him how out of shape he was. He could now see the lake in front of him. He knew it was work while bringing his camera. There, right next to the ponds were wild horse. He put his head down and smiled. Just what he wanted to see. Wild horses. He loved them. No one could touch them. They were wild. They only knew them selves and the two legged animals who always ran after them. He looked around at the entrance. He saw a horse. That couldn't be a wild one. He had a halter on. His owner must be close. Jasper frowned. He now had no clue on what he was going to do. His shy self wanted t ignore the person. But he was polite and it would be nice to let the person know he was here and was going to swim for a while. And invite them. He shrugged his shoulders. He'd rather be polite than anything else so he shuffled his way on over. He sighed. Oh the dread of being shy. [/blockquote]

Rowena Elizabeth Phyte Rowena was busy sketching when she heard Dmitri let out a welcoming whinny. Who was he calling to? Surely not the wild horses, he only called out to humans like that. Rowena straightend herself up a bit and look around. She saw a young man, probably around her age, coming her direction. Who was he? What was he doing here? Dmitri seemed to have the same questions as he started to trot over to the boy. Rowena rolled her eyes and whistled to her horse, making him come back over to her. "You silly boy, y'don't even know if he likes horses." she said, grabing hold of Dmitri's baby blue nylon halter. With one hand still holding onto the gelding, Rowena managed to tuck her camera and skecthing equipment away in her saddle bag as she stood up. Now that had to take some kind of skill. She smiled at her horse again and walked forward a few steps to meet the boy.
At first glance, he looked like the type who would want to be the popular kid. Under closer observation Rowena noticed that he was dragging his feet a bit and looking all around. He seemed to be rather shy. That was okay, Rowena used to be shy when she was younger. Now that she had been to so many new places, being shy just wasn't worth it if you wanted to make friends. "Hi!" she exclaimed happily, hoping her peppiness wouldn't scare the boy. She hadn't even ment to sound so jovial. "Nice day, ein't it?" she asked generally as she looke up to the now clouding sky. Well that just ruined it now didn't it? Rhapsody In Blue

Jasper green eyes widened as teh horse approached himGreat, and attach horse. Just what i need. His muscular body relaxed as the horse went back to his owner. A soft chuckled rolled off his tongue. He ran his tanned left hand through his sweaty hair. He knew he would be shaking hands so it would be rude to wipe his hair with his right. But he would have loved to see the look on her face. He shook his head like a dog. This act ruffled his hair and gave him a rough look. Once again the horse approached him, he let out a hand. Easy.... Boy? Jasper's cheeks flushed pink. Guessing was not his game. Jasper wiped what sweat he could off his shorts and extended his right hand. I would have to say so myself. I'm Jasper by the way. And You?
Why Not? Why Not? It has been ages since Jasper talked with someone that was close to his age. It was mostly famous people or adults. It felt nice to be with his age group again. It couldn't be that bad. More of joy than being stuck up all the time. Jasper's eyes kept falling the the grass plains in which they stood on. But time after time, he caught himself forcing them up. He was fighting his shyness. It was the hardest thing. He had faced many difficult things in his life. After John died Jasper was devastated. It took him awhile to get back into things. He knew John would want him to continue his career with horses. So he perused it. And he was sure glad he did. Jasper forced his eyes up and looked at the young lady in the face. For the first time in a long time, he felt happy again. [/blockquote]

Rowena Elizabeth Phyte Dmitri jerked his head up as the boy came closer. Rowena rolled her eyes and lazily gave a small jerk on his halter, telling the gelding to behave. Rowena looked to the boy again once he spoke, questioning her horse's gender. She smiled at him and said "Yup, his name's Dmitri." confriming his suggestion. "He just likes meeting new people, sorry if he bothered you. I didn't even see or hear you coming. I was too engrossed in drawing." Rowena rambled off. That was the bad thing about her. Once she got talking, she never liked to stop. It was easier for her to talk on and on around people she was more comftorable with, which she seemed to be with him, even though she just met him and idn't even know his name.
Rowena let go of Dmitri's halter, figuring the gelding would be fine now. the Andalusian snorted in thanks and bobbed his large head as he ambled over to the new boy, snuffling him for treats. Rowena couldn't help but laugh a little. "Nice t'meet you Jasper. I'm Rowena. I know not a common name, but I love it." she said, shaking his extended hand."Out for a run then?" she asked, taking in his appearence. Running was a wonderful sport. If Rowena hadn't broken her leg a few years ago, she would have been doing as much running as she could, but since she broke it, it hurt after running several meters. Rhapsody In Blue

Jasper began to stretch so his muscles would not cramp up. Running was an intense sport. It worked you whole core and legs. That was most of the muscles in your body. Not to mention, your feet had the most bones out of your whole body in it. Jasper's favorite class was anatomy. The first time he had that class he dreaded it and now he loves it. It taught you so much about yourself. Yeah, I have a triathlon coming up.
Why Not? Why Not? Triathlons really gave Jasper a challenge. It was tiring but yet so much fun. It really brought you and your horse together. Ever since jasper was a little boy, he always wanted to [/blockquote]
