Jack looked up from the papers in hand when he heard Dorothee. He was about to answer when he saw that she already started for herself. Honsetly, he had no clue where to start. Jack looked at the papers in hand, trying to figure out what they were for. A few of them seemed to be paid off bills, while others were unpaid. He'd have to sort that out. As far as he could tell they only came the other day and he didn't have to pay them right away. There were also a couple vet reports and horse boarding forms that the incoming students had sent to him in advance for when they arrived.
"Well I seem to have some bills, paid and unpaid, vet reports, and boarding forms here." he answered her as he continued to look through his stack. Why did he have so many papers?! It was crazy. His blue eyes shot back to Dorothee when she made another retort about his earlier comment. "I'm pretty sure we'd win first too." he said, not denying in any way, shape, or form that he was full of him self. Even just a bit. "See we'd win first because the judges would have to give us a perfect ten, just we are so good to look at." He then looked back down to a paper that seemed to have a tea stain on it. How in the world did that get there? "You and Hugo have won a lot of awards for being amazing at what you do, but I'm pretty sure they awarded you some extra points for looks too."

As he started naming off the topics she started writing them down on a blank sheet. When he finished she went back through labeling the files. " give me the unpaid bills first" She said as she grabbed a paperclip. " oh yea im pretty sure you'd get first too" She said starcastically. She laughed and looked to him with an unamused look as he finished his words. " ok whatever....im pretty sure they only focus on performance" she siad rolling her eyes.

Jack collected his sloppy pile he made of unpaid bills and handed them over to Dorothee. "I think they're all there. I'm pretty sure all the unpaid bills were in that pile since it was the top one." He figured that he must have put anything that needed to be paid on top so he wouldn't forget to pay them, which he was likely to do anyway. "If I find more, I'll just hand them over to ya."
"See, now you agree!" he said with a smile, pretending to be oblivious to her sarcasm in her words. "Oh I beg to differ my dear Dorothee." he said in a mock challenging manner. At least it went for horses for looks. It might be kind of funny if some one showed u pat some international show with a scrawny, ewe necked, cow hocked, horse to jump. But hell, what did he know about international competition in and around France.

{b]" thank you"[/b] Dorothee said as he handed her the unpaid bills. She paper cliped them together and set them in one of the files. hten she picked up a stack of papers and dumped them on his head, letting them flutter around and to the ground, and set the file down where they had once been. "I thought you might like those papers" She said with a smirk.
"See, now you agree!" " uh huh, whatever makes you sleep at night" She said with a laugh. "Oh I beg to differ my dear Dorothee." " you might beg to differ, but I don't. Longshots can be just as good as champions"

"Any time." he replied innocently as she thanked him. Jack was just about to get another stack of papers, when a whole stack was dropped on his head. He heard Dorothee laugh and say she thought he might have wanted those. "Thank you Dorothee." he said in a higher pitched, sarcastic voice. "I'll remember that, so you just might wanted to watch your back." he told her, still keeping his voice a bit high. He meant it too. He'd get her back, when she was least suspecting it.
"Yes, now I can go to sleep knowing that people think that I deserve an award for my looks." he said with a lopsided smile. It was nice to have some one to talk to. It had been rather boring around here over most the summer. Usually he hired students to work, but obviously they went home after school was out. "Yes, they can." he said, actually being serious and agreeing with her. He then began to collect the scattered papers, whilst lost in thought.

She chuckled. " I was afraid of that. oh well, I can deal with the consequences of fun" Dorothee said. She picked up some papers and started sorting through them. As she did, she soon forgot he was in there and started humming Wild At heart by the group Glorianna. She soon ahd some more of the sorted papers in files as the time went by.

Jack grinned, glad to have some one that played along. "Good. Good. You'll never know when it's coming to you Dorothee, so if I were you, I'd keep a sharp eye out." he said matter-of-factly to her as he continued on with sorting through and piling up papers.
After a while of sorting, Jack just realised that Dorothee was humming. He smiled to himself and kpet on with his work. When finally figured out what song she was humming, he began to sing along. And his voice wasn't bad either. In fact, it was quite good. If he hadn't gone into horses, he would've gone into acting and singing.
ooc// I made him sing good cause the guy I choose to play Jack is a broadway/television/movie singer/actor and my god, that man can sing just about anyhting he wants to.

Jack raised his brow a bit as she spoke. He stopped his singing and asked "Wouldn't care, eh?" He grabbed another stack of papers and put them to his left where he had a pile starting. "How do you know that it's not something horrible?" he questioned, looking at her with one eyebrow raised and a knwoing smirk plastered on his features. He then continued his singing, looking at her still, waiting for an answer.
He didn't even know what he'd do, nor did he care. When the time was right he'd think of something. Obviously it wouldn't be anything that was actually 'horrible'. He used the word in more of the sense of something that would make him laugh and make her a bit annoyed, or mad, or possibly both.
Jack then began to wonder how she even had come to find out about little old Howe, out in the middle of, well, no where. The only reason people even knew of the place was because of the school, otherwise it would be like on of those little towns in a Stephen King novel, where the whole town was pretty much wacked out and waiting to trap unsuspecting, lost travellers. Jack laughed inwardly at his own thoughts of compairing Howe to a town from something that Stephen King wrote.
Jack quit singing again and rolled up his sleeves. "So Dorothee, how did you come to find out about Howe? I mean I know the school and things associated with it are pretty well known, but what drew you here?" he asked, curious as to find out why she chose Howe. She could've picked any place in the world.

"ok whatever...try me"[/b[ Dorothee said with a laugh. She continued sorting the papers, then paused to look around. They had just about all the paperwork sorted out. She looked to the clock, shocked to see that they had been there for almost 2 hours.
" I came to Howe to get away. The school wasn't my point to come here. I wanted to get away from my family...and be somewhere that would be too much of a well..phycotic little country hicktown for my family to want to visit. My mother never approved of me riding horse...it was to "unladylike" for her. So I was hoping she would sell Hugo for me when I moved here, but my dad shipped him over before she could, so now well here we are. Dad e-mails every now andthen...but mom never says a word." Dorothee said with a laugh.

"Yeah, I will get you. Better watch out, y'never know when soemthing's gonna happen." he said, glancing around at the now semi-organised office. Who would've thought that this train wreck would ever look good again? He then look to the clock. Two hours? Really? They areally had been sitting there for two hours cleaning a bloody office? He guessed it was time well spent.
Jack look up from an ad when Dorothee answered his question. "I understand what you mean. I cam ehere for certain reasons as well." Jack had come to Howe to get away from everything going back on at home. Thing was, most people didn't exactly know why he left. Actually no one knew why he left. That didn't matter anyway. "I guess I should start putting hay in the stalls and if you could start bringing the horses in, that'd be great." he said as he stood up, offering his hand to Dorothee to help her up.

Dorothee Smiled and gladly accepted his hand to help her up. " I would love to bring in the horses" She said with a smile. She walked out of the office and into the tack room, grabingthe leads. Shethen walkedout and started bringing in the horses, making sure they got in their own stalls.

Jack turned of the lights and shut and locked the door after after her. He was glad that all he had to do was feed, no lessons. Lessons really only started when scholl started, which wasn't for a few more weeks, and any lessons there were now were taught during the day. As Dorothee went to go get the horses, Jack went to go get the hay and grain to put it in the stall for the horses when they were in.
